The Movie

"Punchcard Player," a feature–length movie based on a lifestyle embraced and used by its filmmakers, is about a suburbanite named Tim Perroni (Brian Napolitan) who, at 23 years old, tries to find a high–paying career while juggling six part–time jobs at the same time. Tim finally lands a full–time dream occupation but loses it on his first day –– and ends up with several part–time jobs far worse than his previous punch–card positions. As pressure builds to uphold his extravagant lifestyle, he realizes he's headed toward a miserable existence. From time clock to time clock, Tim Perroni is a PUNCHCARD PLAYER.

Actor Brian Napolitan, writer–director Michael Picarella and producer–editor Steven Napolitan –– the creators of
"1 2 3" (123themovie.com) –– team up again, this time to explore materialism in the suburbs. Diane Franklin ("Better Off Dead," "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure," "Freddy's Nightmares") and Al Liner ("Seven Fallen Objects," "Looking For Buddha") co–star in this dramatic comedy that's sure to hit home with those who bite off more than they can chew.

The "Punchcard Player" filmmakers shot and completed the movie on a shoestring budget. They filmed the movie during a five–year period in the small Northern California town of Tracy. The filmmakers also worked several jobs at the same time while making the movie. So to speak, they truly earned their Punchcard Player wings while making this movie, and pulled a lot of the cast and crew up with them.
